I have heard that butterworms when exported are irradiated and will become sterile from this. But I have heard reports of them pupating into moths, but after a very long time (7 years or more).

I will be conducting an experiment to see whether or not the butterworm will pupate if put into a less stressful environment. I know this works for superworms, want to see if it will have the same effect.
