ripped shell

krazyvyrus May 04, 2004 04:11 AM

i have a problem. i came home one day and found one of my baby turtle's shell laying on the island. then i noticed on the side of his shell close to it's tail has been ripped.. litterally a little piece almost an inch down the outter rim of the shell showing the inside. im assuming the other turtles took a bite a him, since it's shell is a little soft lacking calcium. is there anything i can do to save him or is he gonna be a goner? please help!!

Do you have one of those kidney shaped turtle things? If so, TRASH IT!
If you want your turtle to survive, you will have to take it to a vet, and change your setup. Your turtle needs heat, and uvb lighting.
