Blizzard Question...

Jbuggs20 May 04, 2004 07:17 AM

Do blizzards seem to be intimitated more easily? I had 5 2-3month old leopards in a 20long 2 being blizzard 2 HypoTangerines and a Striper. Everyone seems to be growing fine but the blizzards I have had them for over a month and they were all eating fine now all of a sudden the blizzards either of them seem to want to eat.. All my geckos eat medium/large crickets and mealworms. Maybe the blizzards are scared of the little bit bigger food item?? But they were taking them down fine at first. Also, they are the 2 smallest geckos in the group of 5 by maybe a gram or 2. Im most likely going to seperate them til they get eating but I wanted to know if its like this with all blizzards or is it just my 2. Im about to start a large project with blizzards I have 3.12 sub-adults on hold that im about to get unless all blizzards have eating problems and are more high-strung. My Blizzards are the most aggresive geckos I have as well they are the only geckos I have that will actually open thier mouth snap and like hiss at me... Im starting to think the guy I got these 2 from sold them to me toooo young because they were pretty small when I got them then started growing and all of a sudden stopped...Any insight would be great.

I have actually had to separate my three new babies because the blizzard was eating ALL the food. The last time they ate together she ate about 30 pieces of food (crickets, mealworms and butterworms), for her size that's insane.

Out of the three of them she has become the most skidish, however, she started off being the most easy going and curious. I think the other two are just becoming more relaxed.

Here is her picture taken yesterday. She has a scratch on her head, would you recommend doing anything?
