Great... the house is FREEZING!

christi/tyler Jun 16, 2003 08:21 AM

Argh... the mid-eighties temperatures yesterday prompted my dad to install the window air-conditioner, but I wasn't home enough yesterday to really think about the locale, and of course, no one else did... it's straight across the room from Ty's cage. His cage was under seventy (my temporary crap thermometer only goes that far). At any rate, I found a new home for his cage (in another room, next to my mom's precious cockatiels... *smirk*) that shouldn't be affected so much by the massive A/C draft.

I know that he was only subject to these low temperatures for about eleven hours at the most... any chance this could do any serious harm to him? I got him out for a little bit, and he was cold, but not freezing, and active as usual... but, argh. Poor guy.

Nah, it takes cold temperatures for extended amounts of time before he'll get an RI. Just so long as you have him nice and warm now.
