I was curious to know if anyone is currently working w/ this fascinating and very underrated species? In my experience, WC adults do not fare well in captivity, but juveniles and younger specimens do acclimate quite well.

Jay:
Split Rock reptiles is anticipating a hatch later this summer(July?)of E. gloydi. I'm considering acquiring one if they are successful. I already own 3 Elaphe vulpina and really enjoy them. Only one of them is wc and it has been a problem feeder (currently on a hunger strike). It was wild last Fall. Better to acqire wc e.vulpina juvies in the spring from what i read and have been told. Assuming the same would be true for E. gloydi. Let me know if you find one. Have you worked with fox snakes before?
