works well for rodents, although a bit expensive.i don't like it for snakes because it makes finding poop harder, and because it's coarse most poop finds it's way to the tub.

I give them a nice deep layer to burrow in. I use with some of my other snakes sometimes when I run out of aspen.
All the best,
Perry

I get mine from the local herp club 12 bucks for the 50 liter bag I put paper towels down first and then about 3 to 4 inches of care fresh. They love to tunnel in it.

It is kinda of a pain to spot clean but the paper towels help.

I have
1.0.0 Mexican Milk
1.1.0 Albino Sororan Gopher
0.2.0 Corn
0.1.0 Tangerine Honduran Milk

I use it with 1 of my snakes. I use papertowels as the substrate for all my other snakes, but this one snake ends up burrowing under the papertowels, pulling them up and eventually crumpling them up or getting them in his water dish.

I switched him over to CareFresh and he "seems" much more content.

When I go to buy more, I'll probably buy Aspen, just bcause it will be cheaper than the CareFresh. I only used the CareFresh because I had some extra left over from when we had a ferret.
