PETA...HAHAHAHA (please take some action with this)

gopherlover May 04, 2004 07:21 PM

I have been assigned a satire project in creative writing, so what better than PETA? I logged onto thier message boards to get some good juicy bits. I didn't go in as a troll at all. I raised questions about snakes. They nearly crucified me for having snakes.

The head of the terrorist group the ALF (animal liberation front) posted this in reply to my thread:
"You are a hypocrite if you feed animals to snakes. ( mice are animals, err, ANIMAL RIGHTS! DUH!) Get rid of the snake. Snakes are merely there for people's amusement, they do not like you for keeping them in glass containers. They would rather be outside. Trust me, snakes do not offer any companionship at all, they are predators. Predators naturally catch food for themselves. Stop killing mice."

Here is my reply:
"OMG HAHAHAHAHAHAA that was as hypocritcal as anything!!! Listen to yourself. And how do you supposer I "get rid" of a snake? Kill it? Pass it on and stress it? They aren't cute but as IMPORTANT as any mouse. They are designed in a fashion to eat mice and there is nothin wrong with that? Is it a snakes fault that it needs them to survive? Nice try buckwheat. Supporting an animal in the way necessary is hardly hipocrytical."

Check out http://www.peta2.com/boards.html . I'd love to see some people defend snakes on there. Peta only cares about the cute animals. So show support by Real animal lovers. Those who truly love THIER animals.

Thanks Guys.

He got a ton of responses. Go figure. Go there, watch the melle. Lots of blood. Not for the squeamish

I've had enough of steffen. Somebody show some defense on that forum for me now. At least read the last section of the thread titled "snakes" and give me your view of whether my points are valid and justified or not.

I would love to see support against these guys on the keeping snakes issue. They are biased and need to hear something sensible from someone they haven't yet labeled as a pointless loser(me). They only like the cute animals, keep that in mind, the kind we feed to our animals.

So this Stefen character believes that it is immoral to own a snake just because they eat mice? And owning any pet that is carnivorous? Would it somehow be more "moral" to him to stuff a snake's mouth with carrots and peas and allow it to starve from an abnormal diet versus feeding the snake mice, which is what most snakes need to eat to survive? He seems to have difficulty in differentiating morals from opinions.

Actually he does think that way. To be honest, even worse than that. Please, take two minutes and register on the bored and let him know that he is being foolish and we have facts to prove it. All he does is mudsling and hope he coems up with a good point. He won't do research on anything.

Read the entire thread titled snakes.

Has the topic of prekilled mice ever come up? That a snake need not be fed live mice? Nah, he would still think that is immoral because I think he's biased as well. The people on that forum are such bigots.

Curious to know whether all these people that believe maintaining snakes in captivity are vegetarians? I had a few people give me a hard time about this years ago. I figured most to be meat eaters and brought that up thinking the hypocrisy of it all. They corrected me stating they were only foragers.

I recently read an article that many vegetarians are not balancing their meals correctly which is depriving them of many necessary nutrients. Could be why some do not think all that clearly.
