` Nah, drawing lines is for the young. When you have lots of time to burn, tilting at windmills can be a fun way to squander it.
` They're gonna do what they're gonna do, that's a given.
` I saw a post on another forum, recently. Someone suspected, and had confirmed by experts, that their Short Tailed Python was not a pure breed. The question was, " Is there any market for such crosses, or is this snake a total loss?" Whew !
` I spent a while composing responses to that. Some of them were incredibly witty, and biting. Oh boy, I woulda told them about what makes a pet snake a "total loss", and the opposite, and market be damned! I certainly got more fun out of composing those responses, then deleting them, than I would have had I posted them.
` Enjoy your snake. Maybe, if you're lucky, even get to use it to teach non-herpetoculturists to appreciate these misunderstood critters.
` You can have more fun ignoring the crass, and indulging yourself with yourself, than you can have trying to speak to such basic instincts.
` If you show 'em a better way, and you happen to be right, they'll hate you for it. That's a given, too.
` Also, I wonder when MR_A is going to get a wide-angle lens so we can see more pix of that corpulent Ball. Perhaps an aerial photograph?
` Here is a svelte Ball Python. Eat your heart out.
