My male is trying to get to my female, what do i do????

coolj9688 May 04, 2004 08:25 PM

A couple of days ago some people on here suggested that i seperate my female from my male for about a week and then put them back together because they werent showing much intrest in mating. Since doing that my male has turned his beard very very black, is constantly bobbing his head up and down, and wont stop bangin his head against the cage tryinging to get out. He also is not eating much if any since she was taken out. Well my question is should is put the female in with the male before the week is over? Or should i just wait out the week?

Thanks,
Justin

Could go either way. Main reason for separating them is so that he will try to re-establish dominance when she is introduced again. Sometimes when they are together for too long they get comfortable with each other and mating isn't the first thing on their mind (sounds kind of like marriage lol).

They were together already and they wouldn't breed. That's why the breeders here suggested to coolj that they should be seperated for a while to renew interest.
