Hey guys- I hope to start a small reptile business in Melbourne Beach, FL soon. The only think holding me back is I can't find a way to get standard aquariums at wholesale prices. I plan on using Vision cages for display, but no customer will want to pay $500 for a tank that will house their new $15 cornsnake. Where can I get your average 10- 20 gallon rectangle glass aquariums such as the type made by Top Fin? Thanks! Brooks

"Exotic tropical fish's Stay-in reptile tanks. These have a sliding screen lid (and screen side option) with a set/lock pin. They are very effective, but the manufacturer is a bit hard to order from. He's in Van Nuys, CA and doesn't have a website or anything. It is the ideal product.

Shipping is what kills you. Glass has to be shipped by common carrier.

Here's a thought:

I don't know about Reptile Tanks, but:

The Retail mark-up on Fish Tanks--specially 10 gals.---is VERY small. "PetStores" make their profits from all the "Equipment", "Accessories" and Fish that go INTO the tank.
So, You won't save much by buying them "Wholesale". If You can find a Local source (wholesale/Retail--doesn't matter) that is selling 10 gals for about $8

Anyway, If you can find them in the $8 range---BUY them!

Otherwise, hunt up some petstore suppliers-->They'll have everything you need.
