why do my chucks ribs show

username854 May 04, 2004 10:36 PM

my chuckwallas seem to be healthey. they have plenty of water and fat rserves in there tails . but i want to know if it might be normal for a chuckwallas ribs tos how. because they never puff up or inflate themselves and on one of them u can see a little bit of its ribs. is that just because they have such saggy loose skin or is there something wrong with it. becvause he show no signs of dehydration and he has lots of fat reserves in his tail.it doesnt seem like it would be that serious of a problem i would probably just have to make sure that he is eating enough, right.

If he's alert and active, he's probably okay. If you want to post a pic I'm sure people would like to see and be willing to weigh in if they think he's too thin.

Maybe he has worms !

If a lizard is lethargic, or extremely thin, and does not put weight on, thats something to check for!

I have 3 chucks and can not see ribs on any!

What is his diet like?
