The common name for this snake is the Transcaucasian Rat Snake. It is a small rat snake. It grows to about 750 mm in length. It is native to the Turkish steppes. It is from an area that has hot dry summers and cold winters. It lives in rockey areas. Adults feed on pink mice.
It likes a Dry Terrarium with at least 12 hours of light and supplementary bottom heat. They should be overwintered for four months or more at around 10 degrees C.
Does this help you any?
Are you sure, Elaphefan?

greatings Jan
Jan,
i dont undertand netherlands language and can't read content of this site. I have group of hohenackeri and work on this breeding unsuccessfully, as it do many of my collegues.
I dont know about any case of captive breeding of this species. All so-called CB hohenackeri origin from gravid wild females from Armenia, Erevan city. In Russia only Tula Exotarium (where i work) have big group of this species and we also get our specimen from this area. We send some of our young hohenackeri not long ago to USA, but it is hatchling from eggs of wc females.
Best regards,
Ivan
