Hi guys. I found some carpenter ants yesterday in this old railroad tie and there was an abundance of them. The railroad tie did not come from the railroad, it came from someone's house. My question is if it is ok to collect these ants for my HL's? It just seems like a waste not to. Do you think they will be ok? My boyfriend isn't sure I should because he says that they treat railroad ties with lots of stuff so they don't rott, so would these ants be ok? Thanks!
