Interesting. I would breed that bad boy and see what happens. Could that be an extreme low white pied??? Whatever it is it is unique. Breed him out, then back to his daughters, and see what comes up....

yea that looks like a pied w/o the white...don't know if that means anything but I would breed him without a doubt...

Assuming you aren't trolling ...

Do you have a pic of the belly you can post? Where did it come from? I'm also thinking an extremely low white pied or maybe even an extreme het pied. Could of course be something new, genetic or not. Very nice!

RoyalConstrictor May 05, 2004 01:48 PM

That is a very unique snake. Like the other said, it looks like it has the pied pattern. Maybe a 0.0000001% white pied? Either way, its very unique and I would hold on to it to breed and try to prove out!

Nah, looks like a normal ball python to me. I think you should sell it...to me lol, I'll give you twice what you paid for it. My e-mail is gmbrink@ilstu.edu.

Thats the first of that sort I've ever seen, I'd say it is a morph. Buddy, you're a lucky guy

Where did you get it and how much did you pay for it? The thought that something like that slipped through the cracks and got to a normal keeper bewilders me.

Thats a real nice bp you have there, try and prove it out.

eunectes4 May 05, 2004 03:48 PM

That is really something! Is it a male or female? We have a male that we are hoping to prove out this season to be a really nice Cinnamon Pastel, and he looks similiar to yours. We have 9 eggs from a breeding that will hatch on June 15th, and anticipate 2 more clutches from breeding him this season.

Thanks for looking,

Debra and Diana

That's what I get for not looking at all the posts!

Ralph Davis May 05, 2004 06:53 PM

The reduced white pied is a great mutation in itself........crossing other mutations into the pied will really set it off whether it's a high white or a low white.........low white will probably look the best crossed into other mutations.

Great pic..........duhhhhh..........that's a pied!!!

And you BONERS are supposed to be ball breeders???????

BallBoutique May 07, 2004 10:39 AM

Question for you Ralph.
You state "low white will probably look the best crossed into other mutations."
Are you saying this prior to your breeding morph into a low white pied or after the breeding takes place? And why would you say this? I think white is what makes the pied so beautiful. Higher the white the higher the price. Or am I just wrong?

It could so be a 1% or 0% white pied. It's got to be possible. Swwet snake.
