Komodo Dragon/ Crocodilians Immunity to Pathogenic Bacteria

lizardman Jun 16, 2003 10:26 AM

Does anyone know if there has been any progression into the research of the immune systems of Komodo Dragons and how they are not affected by the pathogenic bacteria within their own saliva?
Crocodilians rarely get systemic bacterial infections in extremely contaminated water--has there been new research into how their immune systems work?

Thanks to anyone with valid information about this subject matter.
