Here is my new set-up...

lisa_cristin May 05, 2004 05:05 PM

I guess the last picture I downloaded was too big. Anyways, this set-up still needs alot more work. I'm planning on making it look more natural when I have more time. Let me know what you think, good or bad.

Thanks,
Lisa

I like those setups. How did you get the glass separators to stay in place? Silicone? I like the levels you made and the stairs on the far side. Very cool

I didn't notice any relection of you at all......guess my screen sucks really badly LOL

Hey Red, thanks for the compliment.

I first tried to hold the separators up with a strong thick double sided tape. There where big spaces in between that made me nervous that they would get their legs caught. So I used an aquarium sealant silicone. It was such a pain, I made a disaster. Thankfully you can't see it in the picture, but there is silicon all over the sides of the tank. I actually had it all set up and then accidentally knocked the separators over, causing silicon to spread all over. It took about an hour to scrape it all off, lots of it is still there.

The stairs are actually from a small water fountain that didn't work anymore. It's so cool to watch my little blizzard climb up them. I just used silicon to glue the tile together. I really want to make some fake rock hiding spaces and get rid of all of the commercial stuff I have in there. However, it already took me all weekend to set this one up.

I'm glad I notice the reflection, LOL.
