You should have left them where you found them. Turtle eggs are fragile and the slightest jolt can kill them. They need to be kept at a specific temp too so if you don't have anything to keep this environment they will not survive. I have heard that some gets dents and still hatch but I am guessing those one are dead.
Naa their not dead. They need some humidity. Place the eggs in moist soil and keep them in a tupperware container with a tight fitting lid with a couple of small holes for ventilation. Mist around the eggs and the eggs will go back to normal shape before or after 24 hours. if this does not work place a damp paper towel over the eggs for a couple of hours or until you see that the dents have gone away.
If they where wild you should have left the eggs be and hatch naturally.
Ppl make mistakes and its ok, but next time if you dont have the proper incubattion chambers or expieriance best bet is to just cover them up and leave them be.

P.S. here are painter turtle eggs in their wild nest. That location is where they will stay.

if you rotated them, they will likely not hatch. Otherwise, keep them dark, humid, and at 80 degrees. Easiest way is to bury them in a flower pot and set on your back porch and ignore for a few months.
