Olive Python Pics...

ttreptile1 May 05, 2004 08:18 PM

Got bored and snapped a few picks of my female Olive Python. Hands down the best snake I have ever owned! Dog tame, never testy or head shy. But hates dogs with a passion. Nothing like a python chasing a 100+ LB Lab around the basement and the lab peeing on himself in fear. Big dope!

I also just picked up a male, but he is in deep blue and a bit grumpy. Will have pics soon. They are both 4 years old and should be ready for breeding soon.

Very, very nice snake. There is just something about olives that astounds me. Yeah, it's a basically unicolor snake whose overall color could be considered relatively drab, but the irridescence and that particular shade of tannish olive is just awesome. I can't wait until cbb start popping up. Maybe after my first couple of retic clutches I'll delve into some of the rarer sp of pythons: olives, timors, and boelen's (maybe people will have figured them out by then). Thanks for sharing your pictures!

I love olives! My Guyana red-tail boa hates my dogs too. My dogs never learn they always try to sniff her.LOL
