sexing my new bp

reptilechic May 05, 2004 09:55 PM

I just purchased a bp hatchling and I was wondering how old it should be before I had it sexed. I am really anxious to know whether it is male or female so I can quit calling it "it".
Thanks for the advice,
reptilechic

you CAN sex it now and probe sexing is possible but a little trickier...popping now is the best time since it is small and weaker but i do not like popping and i think it is abused. not many probes make a small ball point for a hatchling but if you can find one small enough i would use the ball point over anything else, its just way safer, use the biggest probe you think you can get away with (use reasonable judgement).
