NO JOKE

Kelly I tried to tie an adult mouse to a ft chick. i used cotton string like you said and tied a nice tight knot around the mouse in between the chickens legs. This was the most secure way i think i could have done it and i dangled it from the mouse tail and it was on there great. The anaconda struck and wrapped the chicken, she then looked around the linked food and went by the mouse...she then wrapped a separate coil around it by her tail and pulled the mouse off the chicken. I was amazed and i am not joking here. I tried to get her to take it by chain feeding by hand and she just hid her head while she was working it down. I think the only way i could connect it better without her being able to take it apart (I really didnt think this was possible) is to use a needle and thread it between the two bodies.

That sounds pretty morbid.lol Sort of 'Silence of the lambs' like. I would try it again the way you did it before except with a better knot. I doubt the snake has the capacity to make the thought "if I tug on the mouse it will let loose" It was probably just a fluke. Funny though.
Try tying a blood knot. Like tying on a fishing hook.

i actually have a little personal experience with this subject of green anacondas ive never had the privelage of owning a female green anaconda but i had two males who only accepted chickens lol i actually tried the tying thing too didnt work but giving the rodent a bath in chicken broth worked very well in my case doesnt always work but its worth a shot
