The Hypo Gecko

Did you scent it with anything or did you just give it to the leo how it was? Thanks,
Chris D.

This is my female.

All I did was throw the pinky in and she went right after it. She loves pinkies, they're her favorite food. Whenever I drop one in her cage, it's gone within seconds.

Where do you get your pinkies?
I breed my own mice, so I have an almost constant supply of pinkies for my snakes and geckos. Pet shops usually sell them for about $1 each though.

Looks like he enjoyed it! My leo LOVES mice, she has even eaten a fuzzy sized mouse! She loves them so much she bit onto the tweezers that I was holding it on. I think they are really good for them.

She must have been pretty hungry to eat a fuzzy!

how old does your gecko have to be before you can feed them those mice things? mine is still a baby.. will she eat it? and are these 'pinkys' dead or like alive *shudders*
-----
..she sees in black and white, while she dreams in color..
I've only fed pinkies to geckos that are at least 40 grams becaus ethey can usually handle them pretty well. I always feed them alive so they move around and squeak so they draw attention to themselves. I haven't tried frozen pinkies yet.

I only feed mine frozen pinkies (very rarely though). My geckos are used to eating from a pair of tweezers out of my hand so i just wiggle the pinky and they go right for it.

*hehe* I know that one.. My gex take live Gerbil pinkies... Once in a while.. Now you want something with a major food response to rat/gerbil/mice pinks...My Savannah Monitor is great about that... He doesn't even wait for it to move.. its an immediate attack.. My geckos take a couple minutes to watch the pink move and stalk it..
wow, thats a great picture, she looks very delighted with that. My female always loves her pinkies, i bet shed eat two if i got her two but her belly hangs down with one, lol.I sneak pinkies into my house to her, since my parents wont let me, lol. Oh well, l8er
