You don't need a neo or any other fancy cage for that matter. If you don't care for looks rubbermaids also work well even for adults. You can pretty much use any branch. I'm not sure which are toxic or alike so I'd look further into it. I know to kill off anything living in them preheat the oven to 450 degrees and let the branches sit for 15 minutes. They do not have to be removable. Personally I made it easy pieceing together pvc that drops in and drops out. Not just one single piece that goes across. You could always make some kind of holder to sit the branch on. If using wood you could use a screw or bolt method which could always be taken out and put back in. I know a guy that has kept and bred chondros for about 5 years now. He keeps 2 adults in a 20g aquarium (long) with a screen top. They are missted 3X a day and are doing great. To each their own on cage size and whatever everyone likes. You could keep it basic or add some pothos plants which the chondros really seem to like. Anyways just some thoughts,

I wanted to know how can I setup a tank for a gtp without using a neodesha. The main thing i want to know is how to setup branches and which branches to use, that is my main problem is how to get the branches in the tank because i read that they should be removable. Please give me suggestions on a setup or post pictures and tell me how you did it. I work in a pet shop so supplies are unlimited.
