Fasting female...

steen May 06, 2004 02:08 PM

My 11 month old female bp hasn't eaten on her own in over two months. After the first month, I took her to the vet and had her force-fed, hoping this would jump start her metabolism. I know it's normal for males to fast during winter months, but is it also normal for females? How long does the fasting usually last? Thanks! ~Kristine

I can't believe this...I put her in a box with her mouse and walked away for 2 minutes to post this topic...and when I went back, she had it coiled up! WOO HOO!!! I can't remember the last time I was this excited and relieved! Please disregard the first post...thanks anyway!

Was the mouse live or F/T. I have a female that has stoped eating about a month ago, she is 9 months old.

The mouse was live. The breeder I got her from fed live from the beginning, and I've tried unsuccessfully to switch her to f/t since I got her
