Hey dude,

I was checking out your website and saw your chameleon named Dickerson. You posted him as an ambanja, but then later realized that he is a Nosy Be. However, he doesnt have white lips, as real nosy bes do. My opinion is that he is an ambanja, not only because his lips arent white, but because when he is fired up, he indeed has blue bars. What I said above is my personal opinion, and wasnt meant as any type of rude or unecessary comment, just a few facts that I have observed.

Take care,

Tony

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the feedback. Dickerson was captive hatched and we picked him up when he was about 4 months old. The mother was labeled as an ambanja so thats all we could go by. But as with all WC females, its possible for things to get mixed up. I am very open minded and am curious as to what the members of this forum think about Dickerson. He does have white lips, but maybe the photos don't show it off to well. Thanks.

Dickerson looks Nosy Be to me... Darker blue stripes don't mean he's not a Nosy, alot of Nosys have darker blue (or black) stripes sometimes. Ambanjas would have more "other" colors, such as greens, yellows or more reds in them.
