my vieled have been digging since 11 oclock today central time

she's laying her first clutch of eggs. when she is done what precautions should i take. should i shower her with warn water to hydrate her and clean off the sand. the tepmerature inmy house it around 78 degrees right now outside temp is about the same i have a 50 watt basking light for her which keeps that area around 95-100 degrees warm. her enclosure is around 78-85. just asking because this is my first chameleon and don;t know really what to do. i do have books but just want someone here to give me some hannds on advise

she laid them 40 total unfertile. i think? can any tell?
she was in with the male until she was 4 months then was seperated. about two months ago. she laid it today.

srry just noticed your post 1st egglaying can be an extreme ordeal for your cham so if she shows signs of stress i'd leave her be just make sure to keep her hydrated and feed a little more than usual they use a lot of calcium so make sure to dust each feeding for a while with calcium powder as for the eggs they dont look fertile to me but you should incubate them to be sure! either way you will know in a few weeks unfertile eggs shrivel up by then
