Hi troy,
Used your name for the heading to get you to loook, lol. Anyways, the thread we are talking with each other is a ways down so I put up anew one. This is replying to your question about pyros feeding-(from the BHB lines of pyros compared to the sentz line). My sentz hypo and her sib-(a poss. het-hypo, they were from a het x het breeding done by Frank memmos) grew quick. i got my hypo in early 2001-(she is a 99 hatch) and she laid for the first time in 2002-(a clutch of 5 bad eggs) but she was long and skinny when I first got her, but she readily accepted f/t fuzzys and was eating 3 per feeding every feeding. She didnt stop eating when fall came either. She only stopped because i had to quit to get her eady for hibvernation. I only have a couple pyros like that. She is still like that today. The only time she wont eat is when she is about to enter her pre-egg shed, she wont eat after that either, not till a couple days after her clutch is dropped. My pair of het-hypos that came from Brian ate well too. the female though would skip meals from time to time. Never the male though, thats why he was breeding last year and she didnt go till this year-(she just laid 4 eggs the other day, only 1 seems good now, bummer). But last year i got a female het-hypoerythristic pyro and a poss. het-albino-(and poss. het-hypo BHB line) female pyro. The het-hypoerythristic was 13 grams at hacthing and was eating great when i first got her. The poss. het-albino was smaller and was slower to get started-(not hard, just refused for about 2 weeks then took off) the het-hypoerythristic stopped eating at fall and I had to hibernate her. the poss. het-albino hasnt stopped at all and is big now. Shes actually growing much quicker than i thought. I have a 2002 female red-head pyro that is about the same size-(the red-head is longer, but the poss. het-albino has more girtht o her). I think all mtn.kings are finicky eaters. Thats how its always been for me anyways. But it was worth looking at-(seeing what line of hypos grows faster) I think its all individual snake prefernce though. Anyways, thanks again troy for posting the pics of your adult BHB hypos. They are awesome looking.
