day 60 question...

kingofrain21 Jun 16, 2003 12:37 PM

i have a clutch of 20 eggs that are at day 60 right now, - they have been kept at a constant temp of 82-83 degrees, and have looked white and healthy the entire time... my main question is, how long does it take for the eggs to hatch after they dimple in? i am particularly worried because i had 7 eggs go 64 days last year, all looked good, but none of the babies hatched... the eggs softened for a day or two, then got really hard so i cut them open and found fully developed hatchlings (that hadn't absorbed the yolks, but had full pigment)- i don't want this to happen again, any advice would be great. thanks in advance

I was looking in the corn snake manual, and it says that they, usually hatch at about 9 weeks(63 days). It also says that that number is "un-critical" and there is a lot of leeway in that number. I would just wait them out. They will either hatch, or it wasn't ment to be.
