Is she gravid?

Greenwicche May 06, 2004 10:35 PM

Sweetpea has been progressively looking bloated. She's also less active and has been eating less for about a week now. When I feel her lower abdomen it feels like there are marbles under the skin. I haven't taken her to work yet because I don't think she's in any distress, but I'm worried because this would be her first time. Any assurances would be appreciated!

how old is that iguana?

She looks pretty small in scale with the drain of the sink...

If she's that small there is no way she should be gravid...if she is you've got trouble.

Go see a vet.

She's 2-yrs-old and yes she's small for her age. She was an adoption/rescue that hadn't been fed or caged properly. That's all changed now, of course. Fortunately she got a clean bill of health recently. She is showing all the signs of being gravid though. Thanks for your input!
