Just snapped a picture of my gravid cal king. Last year she had 8 eggs, this year she seems about twice as large. She was bred by the same male this year as last year.
She shed 7 days ago and is still restless. I keep thinking she's going to settle down and have the eggs, but each time I glance over to her enclosure, she's still as fat as a pig!
Any guesses as to how many eggs she'll have?

Sasheena, her mom laid 14 last year and is loaded again this year. The least amount I ever got from her was 11. That Newport line has always laid more eggs than most of my other cal kings.

Does your pyro look gravid yet?

My Pyro doesn't look or feel gravid, but since I've never seen a gravid pyro and only have corns and cal kings to compare her to, I could be wrong. Just looked in on her, and the male was chasing her up one side and down the other of the cage. Posted a pic a few days ago, I'll post it again here. The pic is about three days ago.
