Ladies and Gentlemen,
Part of the fun of keeping my herps is putting time and effort into providing the best housing possible for them.
During the summer I would like to build a home for my herps. I currently have tanks spread out in my room and would like to simplify it all to one unit.
I am thinking about a bookcase design with 3 levels. One for a BCI, one for a pair of BPs, and one for a BRB.
Right now I imagine something 5ft x 4ft x 2ft, with the top unit being 2ft tall, and the bottom two being 1 ft tall each.
I have all summer to work on this, so no rush, but any starting advice would be great. I don't want to waste anyone's time.
Ultimately I'd like something cheap, self-heated, able to handle moisture and humidity, and that doesn't weigh a ton.
Can anyone point me to any guides or provide me with a good starting point?
My plans are just ideas, I can be very flexible here.
Thank you all.
