when to worry?

symatic May 07, 2004 02:55 AM

When do you begin to worry about hatchlings not eating? I know with adults you can give some time and all is good, but hatchlings are so small. Can they not feed for a long period of time? I have one that only eats F/T which is cool, but i have one that hasn't eaten in a month and appears to be affraid of live animals(balls are wierd). Just thought i would ask?

thanks sym

...would be about 3 weeks for a new hatchling. Try a dark-colored live fuzzy mouse (large fuzzy, about 14-18 days old) at night. If after 2 or 3 offers over the next week or 10 days and no success, a dead fuzzy should be assist-fed. Usually after a couple assist-feedings, the specimen will start on its own.
