Congrats guys, I wish you the best of luck to you with those beautiful spenceri.. It's unfortunate that we here in the US can't obtain these, otherwise, I would definately have some in my collection...

Just out of curiosity, why do you choose to use pine shavings?? What kind of laying area do you offer her, and have you ever considered using an all-dirt/sand substrate, so that they can dig burrows into?? Beautiful animals, I want to see some babies hatching out in another 4 months or so(how long is the incubation period anyways??)... Take care, good luck..

Is she really gravid or did she just eat the hamsters that used to live in that cage?? LOL

Whats with the pine shavings, do you offer her something else to nest in?

The pic of her laying looks like she is still on pine shavings but also has potting soil that she was actually laying on????

None the less your monitors look very nice and good luck with the egg's.

That doesn't look like potting soil, it looks like the glass bottom of the aquarium! Check out the reflections.....yikes! Best of luck with those eggs though!!
