Some more JCP pics, and Irian Jaya questions...

Millionpoundbomb May 07, 2004 02:31 PM

Had some warm and sunny nor cal weather and I got home early from school, so took some pictures. Since for some reason I can never post multiple pics in one post, here is one pic of my jungle. The rest are on the link below(http://www.geocities.com/boaincherps/newjcppics.html). Such a great snake. I open the cage and meets me at the top of the cage.

I have been looking for another python to accquire and I decided to go for Irian Jaya. I hoping to get some really light ones with some violet tones. I really like the High contrasts that Yasser has. What size do they max out at? Also, what is the difference between them and Jcps?

Thanks in advance, Peace.

Irian Jaya Carpets are ussually a bit smaller than Jungle Carpets. I would say most are around 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 feet in length. They have the same needs and care requirements as Jungle Carpets. Jungles carpets are from Australia and have been selectivley bred for many generations to produce amazing high yellows and 50/50's. Irian Jaya carpets are from an island just northeast of Australia called Irian Jaya/New Guinea. Selective breeding of Irian Jaya is fairly new and as you mentioned Yasser has a good start on producing high contrast Irian Jaya.
