Hi there,

I've ordered supplies from www.herpsupplies.com and have always been satisfied with my order. They have great prices too. You will need a large aquarium than a 10 gallon to perminently house one cuban tree frog. They are active and fairly large frogs that will use all of the space that you proivde them with. A 15 gallon extra high aquarium would be a minimum size but 20 gallon high or a 29 gallon aquarium would be even better. Coconut husk fiber is a great substrate to use and should work fine. Other than that you pretty much have it down. A water dish, climbing branches/perches and hiding spots. Hiding spots can be as simple as a few large leafed plants to sleep under but hollow cork tubes and fake plants work well too.

Also, don't forget the things that go on the outside of the cage. Use an aquarium background or black paper to cover 3 sides of the tank to make your frog feel more secure. You also may need a low wattage (probably only 15 or 25 watts) heat lamp if temperatures in your area fall low at night. Good luck,

I would have to agree that if its an adult you would need deffently a 20. Now if ist a baby like one of mine you can go with a 10 but I would say make sure its a 10 high for they like to climb alot. Yes they also need branches to climb on. About every tree frog needs branches to climb on.
