well thanks for ur replies...but u guys still didn't tell me if they can eat mealies out of a dish like leos do...or just eat mealies in front of their face which is fine too..but i hate crix...

they will eat mealies out of a dish if trained so. I found clear flat sided ash trays work the best about 3/4-1" tall.

I haven't got mine to eat mealworms yet,but they can live up to 15-20 yrs eating only meals.

why are most people feeding crix?...i know they are nutritionally more beneficial...but most leo breeders have converted to mealies...is it that AFTs are hard to start on mealies...or is it that AFT's don't eat mealies well...

Out of my 15 fat tails only 2 will eat mealworms. I have tried to raise babies on mealworms but they would not have any of that. I did not feed them for 4 weeks I thought they would go over to the mealworms but no. As soon as I threw some crickets in the cage they started eating. I really think that the fatties like to chase the crickets and this is what stimulates there appetite.

I agree with Bc because my fatties will watch a superworm and follow it but the super won't move fast so the gecko gives up.

oh...do most of the geckos u guys receive by mail order eat the first day?...or do they stress real easy...cuz ive found that leopards usually eat 3 or 4 days after they arrive...wondering if thats the case wit these guys...
