New Lizards

wolfgirl591 May 07, 2004 10:48 PM

I recently aquired some new alligator lizards which live about five feet away from my Dragons cage. He has been very unhappy about this and has been stampeding and head bobbing all over his cage. I know that this is just dominance behavior, but is there anything I can do to help him relax?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Beardies are territorial and have very good eyesight. He most likely sees those other lizards as a threat to his territory and it stresses him out.

To help him, you could move one of the enclosures into another room, or at an angle where you can put some wallpaper on the side of the tank so he can't see them.

if your BD is in a glass tank, mist the inside walls with water so they get water stained making it harder to see through or put something between them to obstruct the view.
