Any Help, Please

jay6850 May 08, 2004 12:31 PM

Hey Everyone, I have a project for school, and I decided to make a model of the reproductive system of a snake (Male and Female). I need some information on the reproductive systems of snakes, and would like to know if anyone can help me with information, or good informative sites, with pictures if possible. I would also like to thank everyone for their help in advance. Also, if anyone has any ideas of how I could make the model, and with what materials, I would appreciate it very much, Thanks Alot, Jason

neat project choice, jason.

I think you'd want something see-through, to represent the snake's body...maybe some six-inch diameter clear plastic pipe? not sure where you'd get it--try a home depot maybe? then you could use smaller pieces of tubing to represent the oviducts--paint one, maybe (there are two, one on each side) and leave the other one clear and put something inside (candy easter eggs? smooth river rocks?) to represent the ova/eggs. I'm sure once you find drawings/photos, other materials will come to mind.

to find the illustrations, have you tried a google search for something like snake and reproductive and organs? youi'll have to be creative, play detective, but it's a neat challenge.

good luck, and let us know what you find.

peace
terry
