purple underside *re post with more info*

Breathingbywires May 08, 2004 01:26 PM

This is my newest little leo. I asked for help as to why her underside is purple like that. Some people told me not to worry because she is eating fine ect.. and some said something about lack of food and dehyration would cause this.

When I got Quin I knew she was not 100% like the other leo's.. I was already pre warned. She had been beaten up by the other leo's many times.. and is missing a toe from it. One other leo *that my friend took even had a tail missing* ... So I brought Quin home so she could live happier than when was with the mean ones.. now if it was because of dehydration ect.. it would have been when she was being bullied by the other leo's. Maybe they didn't allow her to eat I have no idea..

All I know is right now she is eating fine *as we speak chasing crix around her tank* but does not like being handled yet *however she is just a baby still* So I don't know what to do to make her better.. if I'm doing the right thing..

I've got 3 leo's and never had problems so yah... reasons and opinions on this would be appreciated..

Little baby geckos have paler and thinner skin on their tummies than adults do, and it is easier to see their internal organs. Based on your picture, it looks like the liver and a belly full of crickets!
