ive not been keeping snakes to long but i know that if you live in in california you can go catch your own feeders as small lizards are abundant their.some of the suitable lizards are
side blotched lizards
fence lizards
all these should be legal to capture and take home.hope this helps

Hey mike well, I have thought about that, but the only problem is that the lizards may have harmful parasites or diseases, and I wouldn't want to feed them to my snakes. Thanks for the input though

Sorry nick, I called you mike... really didn't mean to. I have a friend mike and friend nick, and I mix em up all the time. Honest mistake sorry... 
you could always freeze them--depends on if it matters whether they are alive for feeding or not, but freezing them for a week would take care of any parasites.
There was a guy on another forum looking into providing feeders but I don't think there is enough of a market for them that anybody actually does this.
