Wormman doesn't sell mealworms cheap at all!
Reptilefood sells mealworms for $5.25 per 1000. But that doesn't include shipping though.
Souther Cricket Wholsale has them for $6.00 per 1,000 plus S&H. You can get a bag of rolled oats at Tractor Supply or someplace similar that will last you a long time. Just put 2-3 inches in the bottom of a tupperware container with ventilation in the top. They will eat and breed in this. Add carrots or potatoes occasionally for moisture if you want. They will turn into beatles, breed, lay eggs, and continue the cycle into baby mealworms if left this way.
