Hi there:

Something's wrong! My American bullfrog has four limbs and nearly no tail left, but he still has vegetarian mouth parts! What should I do?

Hi Dave,

Just be patient. Your frog should finish its development within the next few days. I always wonder how strange it must be during metamorphosis, your entire existence has been spent underwater and then all of a sudden these legs pop out of your body and you feel the erge to hop on land. And humans think puberty is awkward!

Hi there:

Thank you for the info. I was only conserned because my books showed the mouth parts transforming before it became a froglet. But I guess this is normal. Its like teeth. Everyone loses different teeth at different times. In about a week, it will entirely be a bullfrog. Its tail is only a bud. Today on several ocassions it left the water. Thanks again.

DAVE
