I noticed your post about an aggressive striking WC a few posts back. I have the same thing with a WC male I got in Feb. He hisses at you and struck a lot, but has stopped striking in the past two months, maybe settling in?
I threw in a f/t rat about a month ago, and he miraculously ate it overnight. I tried again last week and it was a no-go.
BUT when I got him in Feb, he would strike like lightening!! I swear, once, he jumped right out of my hands and up a kitchen cupboard faster than I could blink an eye. For soeone who's used to "tame" BPs and boas, this was quite shocking. he's also the only BP who's ever musked me in self defense. But yes, he has calmed down in the past month, and only hisses one out of three times you open his cage. I think the key to it is, leaving them alone for awhile to acclimate.
