As cool looking as fire skinks are, I just got bored with their habbit of constantly being burrowed unless it was feeding day where they could grace me with a couple hours of surface time. So I traded the pair in for the pet store's trio of jeweled curly tails.
Now my question is, how can you tell male/female in them? Of the three, two have the same mostly lighter coloration, but a slight size difference. The third has darker blacks and reds, but then a brighter orange on the face/chin that the first two almost totaly lack.
The two lighter colored ones Act more "maleish" I think. I've seen both them do lateral compressions and head bobbing, which I have yet to see the darker one do. But then my female iguana does this more often tham my male one does, and is generaly the boss there.
