Superworms,mealworms,silkworms, and butterworms....advice wanted......

lilroach56 May 08, 2004 05:41 PM

I am going to try ordering feeders off the internet. I was wondering some stuff about silkworms and butterworms when compared to mealworms and superworms. How hard is it to gutload silkworms? has a gutload for butterworms been discovered yet? how many mealies would one silkworm (1/2"-1" silkworm) equal? how many mealies would one butterworm equal? which do you prefer to feed (out of those 4)? can you leave silkworms and butterworms in the cage for more than 1 hour without them eating each other or attacking the leo? which do leos seem to have the best time hunting and eating? where can you buy the above feeders?

As a REALLY special treat, I ordered some termites for my girls. They were crazy expensive, shipped from CA, but those leos LOVED it! Adults that refuse to eat 1/2 in crickets were going after 1/8 in termites, and licking their lips like it was the last supper, lol
