my redfoot has a thing for rocks as well, i've discovered. he hasn't eaten any yet, but there's this one particular white, smooth roundish little river rock that's a bit bigger than his head that he always goes to in my boyfriend's backyard. every time he sees it he bites at it until he figures out that it's inedible... until the next time he sees it... i guess that since he doesn't see rocks like that every day, he wats to try eating them for novelty's sake. should take a picture.

did your little guy seriously swallow it??? if so, i hope the vet can help him out... i'd have no idea what that could do, damage-wise... good luck!

I dropped my new nikon on the sidewalk to try and stop him.He then tried chewing some bark up but I got that in time.He wont eat grass unless I have him in his inclosure. As soon as I let him run free he browses on things that will kill him.I wonder if he is depressed and shooting for culinary suicide.Do they make prozac for torts?

hope your guy is ok. I had a sulcata that ate rocks.Key word had. She ate all sizes, until she packed herself so bad she died.Sulcatas eat rocks all the time i have three others and they are fine.they eat and pass most rocks fine but if they get one cloged up they starve.Sorry to hear yours ate one.Just watch to see if it eats & drinks. Look for it in the stool.I keep up on thier weight as well. tortydee
