ball python with sand substrate

i have a forty breeder with a ball python and a saharan sand boa and i want to put sand in it. would this be ok with the ball python??

I would not trust it. Too easy for the ball python to injest sand. plus it's murder to keep clean unless you keep it bone dry which is good for sand boas but not ball pythons.
