I just bought a Python cleaner and I'm not sure on how to use it. It comes with directions but they only tell you how to clean the gravel and refill the tank. Can't the python suck the water out of the tank to empty it? Do I just use the same directions they give to clean the gravel? I didn't actually take it out and look at all the parts so these questions are probably really stupid. I guess I basically want to make sure it can empty my tank before I go and open the whole thing. So can it? Thanks in advance for dealing with my stupid questions.

It sucks water out while it cleans gravel. You just hook it up to your sink, make sure it's in the 'suck' position, and turn the faucet on. The running water somehow creates a vaccuum that pulls water out of the tank. Then to put water in, you turn it to the 'blow' position. Pretty simple once you get the hang of it.
