Day 64, still waiting

JM Jun 16, 2003 03:21 PM

day 64 of incubation on the small clutch. Don't see any action yet. Gonna leave town tomarrow..........so thats when something will happen right? I'm only gonna be gone for one day, but this is my first clutch, so naturally, hatching will happen when I'm gone won't it?

I had two clutches this year that were closer to 75 days before they started hatching...

Somewhere between 80 and 85, depending on which thermometer I was looking at... I had four in there at one point, and two said 80, two said 85... so somewhere around there.

That makes me feel better. I have a clutch of one egg that has been kept around 82 and is on day 67, and another clutch on day 63. They are driving me nuts. I can see them moving around in those eggs though, so that is a good sign. Last year they all hatched by day 63 so I just getting some senseless jitters. I am always like this, the first clutch of the year is always the hardest to wait for. Pretty soon I'll be begging them to stay in their eggs.
