How often should I clean his cage out completely? Also this bbark say i can clean it by soaking it in hot water? is that good should i buy him completely new mulch? Also is sooil ok for ihm too ? some kind of reptile soil? lol....I have been clenaing out his cage daily or whenever i see esome stuff in there..

cypress mulch is what everyone is recommending now. reusing cypress mulch? never, bad idea. soil i've heard can be used as a substrate and i hear that tegus love it. the only downside is you'll have a really, really dirty tegu. always spot-clean the cage daily for her poop/urine. how big is your cage? if its not too big and easy to change out, do it as often as you can. cypress mulch is extremely cheap and i would say be sure to change the substrate at least once a month because spot-cleaning can't remove the bacteria that are left behind after you pick up her poop/urine.
