What kind of sand should I put in for the turtle. I was thinking about getting that Caribsea sand stuff but my cousin said there was salt in it. Is that ok for the turtle? He suggested that I go get playground sand from Home Depot and cook it in the oven. Thanks.

Where are you putting it? In the water? Regular playsand should be fine but I don't know why you need it.

just wondering... wouldnt sand make it A LOT harder to clean their tank??? personally, i like the idea of "easier to clean"! I heard that you shouldnt get small rocks because the turtles might eat it, but i never heard anything about turtles eating sand... I dont know if theyd eat it or not?!?! hopefully not because then it would block their bowl systems up! Well good luck with whatever you decide!
